Our OPPO A15 review here tells you everything to know about the ultra-affordable smartphone, including the OPPO A15 price in Malaysia.

Are you on a strict budget and want a smartphone with a large, bright display that can last a day or two? If the answer is yes, then look no further than the OPPO A15. Our OPPO A15 review below will tell you everything about the phone, including the OPPO A15 price in Malaysia.

Design

The OPPO A15’s all-plastic body feels solidly built. While it doesn’t make it look cheap, it is prone to fingerprint smudges. Especially so since the fingerprint sensor is on the rear. Fortunately, this can be avoided using the included TPU case.

The bezels are rather chunky. The water drop notch makes the OPPO A15 look a bit dated. At the bottom, there are a micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The rear of the OPPO A15 is mostly empty. The square camera module is in the top-left corner. Underneath it, is the fingerprint sensor. And that’s about it. There is nothing more.

Given the plastic build, you might expect the smartphone to be a bit lightweight. Well, not exactly. It weighs 175g. It isn’t heavy, but you will notice you are carrying it in your pocket.

There are three color options: Fancy White, Mystery Blue, and Dynamic Black. The OPPO A15 white is the best choice if you want to go neutral yet stylish. If you want to be bold, the other two bold colors will suit you.

Display

Usually, cheap phones have small and dim displays. But not the OPPO A15. The OPPO A15 has a large and bright display. It has a 6.52-inch IPS display and is rated 480nits. It is quite bright considering the ultra-affordable price. The colors are balanced as well.

The display resolution is HD+ (720p). This is rather underwhelming. Most phones in the price range have FHD+ (1080p) resolution. The refresh rate is only 60Hz, understandable for a cheap phone.

Camera

The OPPO A15 comes with three cameras: 13MP wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. The included camera functions are quite basic. It has a dedicated Night mode, time-lapse, slow-mo, macro, and expert. No wide-angle function that most camera phones today have.

Results in evenly lit conditions are acceptable. Not so much for low-light shooting. The 5MP selfie camera is basic. Selfie pictures are decent with enough attention to detail but no more than that.

Performance

Moving on to another OPPO A15 specs. A MediaTek MT6765 processor powers the OPPO A15. The OPPO A15 has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

In terms of performance, the OPPO A15 is a bit slow. You will notice small yet frequent delays here and there. Gaming is viable, but far from optimal. You might find even well-optimized games stutters on this handset.

Battery Life

Before we get to the OPPO A15 price in Malaysia, let’s talk about the OPPO A15’s battery life. It has a battery capacity of 4,230mAH. That’s plenty, especially if we consider the price. With moderate use, you will get through an entire day on a single charge.

Media will eat some of the battery life, yes, but not as much as you might expect. Given OPPO A15’s humble processor, you are unlikely to spend hours of gaming, either. That will help to prolong the OPPO A15’s battery life even further.

Price

Next, let’s talk about the OPPO A15 price. Price is one of the strong points of the OPPO A15. The OPPO A15 price in Malaysia is around RM 470. You can even get the phone for less.

For a phone in that price range, the OPPO A15 sure does offer a lot. Granted, there is nothing exceptional about it. Nor can you expect much from it. But if you are on a strict budget, the OPPO A15 is worth checking out.

The phone comes with a 10w adapter and a micro-USB cable. The charging speed is a bit slow. It takes approximately 90 minutes to go from 17% to 90%.
