Our OPPO A15s review here tells you everything to know about the ultra-affordable smartphone, including the OPPO A15s price in Malaysia.
If you are on a budget and looking for an affordable handset that lasts, look no further than the OPPO A15s. It has decent cameras, good performance, and long-lasting battery life for its price. Find out more about the handset and the OPPO A15s price in Malaysia below.
Design
Let’s start our OPPO A15s review with the design. In terms of design, nothing really stands out from the OPPO A15s.
Its design is entirely plastic. It is reasonably slim and light. Plus, its single-tone finish on its glossy back allows it to stand out from other handsets in the segments, many of which feature gradients.
The OPPO A15s comes with a silicone case, which protects the handset without obscuring its beauty. It comes with a micro-USB port, which is outdated these days. Its 3.5mm audio jack, however, is welcome. At 177g, the OPPO 15s feels good and sturdy in the hand.
When it comes to OPPO A15s colour, OPPO offers two options: Mystery Blue and Dynamic Black. Both OPPO A15s blue and OPPO A15s black look good and feel good in the hand.
Display
The OPPO A15s comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 269ppi pixel density. The handset’s screen-to-body ratio is 83%. It has a bezel-less display with a waterdrop notch at the top of the screen. The screen resolution is 1600 x 720 pixels, while the aspect ratio is 20:9.
The OPPO A15s display is relatively bright in the segment, with up to 480nits brightness levels. The colors are reasonably balanced as well. Overall, the display that the OPPO A15s is good for its price.
Camera
Considering the OPPO A15s price in Malaysia, what the OPPO A15s offers in the camera department is decent. The OPPO A15s features a triple camera setup at the rear and a single front camera.
The triple cameras are 13MP wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. The single front camera is a 5MP selfie camera.
Results in well-lit conditions are usable. However, low-light shooting is rather underwhelming. The front camera photos are decent. It is an entry-level handset, so we wouldn’t expect much from it.
The default camera app offers various engaging options and modes. For example, Expert mode, Macro mode, Night mode, and Google Lens integration, just to name a few.
Software
The OPPO A15s runs on OPPO’s ColorOS 7.2, which is based on Android 10. The interface is reasonably clean and smooth. Its menus are somewhat jumbled and the icons are a bit garish, however. Like always, the handset comes with a handful of preloaded apps.
In terms of size, ColorOS 7.2 is not light, but it does offer plenty of useful customization options. Features such as Smart mode, Dark mode, and Super Power Saving mode are really handy.
Performance
Next, the OPPO A15s specs. The handset comes with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable to 256GB via a microSD card. The performance is relatively good for day-to-day tasks.
It might not be as smooth as more expensive handsets, but the OPPO A15s delivers and does the job just fine.
The handset is viable for gaming but is far from optimal due to its humble processor. It is fine for casual gaming, but not so much for serious gaming.
Battery Life
Despite the OPPO A15s price in Malaysia, the OPPO A15s has a long-lasting battery life. The handset comes equipped with a 4,230mAh.
That’s plenty considering the price. With that much battery capacity, the OPPO A15s can easily last through a day with moderate use.
Heavy use is unlikely thanks to the handset’s humble processor. The OPPO A15s doesn’t have fast charging technology. The handset comes with a 10W charger. A 30-minute charge will get you about 27%. That’s a bit slow. But then again, it is an entry-level handset.
